CBBMail – Mail server settings

Mail settings for Yellowknife

Open the Thunderbird application. Click the Settings pinwheel. Under Account Actions click Add mail account. Enter your Full Name, CBBMail address, and your password. Click the Configure Manually link.

Manually enter the following information:

Incoming Server Hostname: mail.ykwc.com
Port: 993
SSL: SSL/TLS
Authentication: Normal Password
Outgoing Server Hostname: mail.ykwc.com
Port: 465
SSL: SSL/TLS
Authentication: Normal Password
Username: username@cbbmail.com

Mail settings for G Suite

After the DNS for the domain has been migrated away from pointing at the Google Suite server pool, you will need to use Thunderbird in order to transfer all the email in the mailbox to the new server setup. Go here for instructions on how to download and install Thunderbird.

Open the Thunderbird application. Click the Settings pinwheel. Under Account Actions click Add mail account. Enter your Full Name, CBBMail address, and your password. Click the Configure Manually link.

Manually enter the following information:

Incoming Server Hostname: imap.gmail.com
Port: 993
SSL: SSL/TLS
Authentication: Normal Password
Outgoing Server Hostname: smtp.gmail.com
Port: 465
SSL: SSL/TLS
Authentication: Normal Password
Username: username@cbbmail.com

To complete the setup, click either “Done” or “Advanced Config” and confirm with “Ok”.
